CARE GUIDE

Taking Care of Your Jewelry

925 Sterling Silver Jewelry

Our jewelry is made of 925 Sterling Silver and comes with palladium/rhodium or gold plating. In this way, the silver keeps its hypoallergenic properties but is less prone to tarnishing. Tarnishing rarely occurs while wearing our pieces because the oils in your skin help prevent it. Still, piercings made of silver require some attention:
- Make sure the metal doesn’t get in contact with chemicals (such as disinfectants different from alcohol), pool-, seawater and hot springs. Especially sulfur will damage silver jewelry. Also, don't use saline solution while wearing silver jewelry.
- Check from time to time that the jewelry is still screwed on tightly. Silver is a relatively soft metal.
- If you notice that your jewelry is changing color, take it out, clean it, and give it a polish with the special cloth included in your order. You may also use a soft toothbrush and mild soap to make your jewelry shine again. Rinse well with hot water when done.
- When storing your silver jewelry, use an airtight container to prevent oxidation.

Gold Vermeil Jewelry

To restore shine to gold vermeil pieces, gently clean them with soapy water and dry with a soft cloth; Don't use polishing pads.
